These days, I typically think of writing, editing and content strategy as being inextricably linked, as they so often are in the work I do. I consider the editorial piece to be the genesis of the vision, the safeguard for ethics in content, and a dogged process of honing a piece of writing—or a collection of content—until its structure, grammar, voice and tone meet the high standards that I and my clients have set for it.
I've worked in editorial throughout my career. I've been on staff in high-level editorial roles, covered long-term senior- and executive-level editorial positions as a consultant, and I've taken on many short-term editorial projects.
